Rustic Wedding Inspiration: Timber Frame Pavilions & Barn Celebrations

On an overcast November day with a hint of autumn chill in the air, Stacey and Mark’s wedding day threatened rain, but picked just before the ceremony to clear up. So they were able to have their ceremony outside at the beautiful The Barn at Bull Meadow in the quaint town of Concord, New Hampshire. Syndey Nicolson at the venue was a pleasure to work with. Nestled amidst verdant fields and ringed by towering trees, the barn provided the perfect rustic backdrop on an overcast November day with a bit of autumn chill in the air, Stacey and Mark’s wedding day threatened rain—but it cleared up just in time for the ceremony. They were able to have their ceremony outside at the beautiful Barn at Bull Meadow in the quaint town of Concord, New Hampshire. Sydney Nicolson at the venue was a pleasure to work with. Nestled amidst fields and ringed by towering trees, the barn provided the perfect rustic backdrop for their special day.

The morning began with the sweet getting ready rituals. Stacey, in her bridal suite, was surrounded by her bridesmaids. Her sister and maid of honor was the anchor of the day, allowing Stacey to truly laugh and enjoy everything the day had to offer. The hairstylist, Shannon Ortiz, carefully created curls in Stacey’s hair so that a real daisy could be carefully placed in her bun for the final touch, which was a tribute to her Thai heritage called, Dok Mai Thap Kuan. The bride’s excitement could be felt throughout the room, her smile never fading.

Meanwhile, Mark and his groomsmen were in their own quarters, indulging in their fair share of pre-wedding rituals. The sound of laughter filled the room as they shared old stories and memories, making sure that a little bit of football was enjoyed while they waited for the first look and group photos.

Their first look was one of the sweetest, showing how much Stacey and Mark really love and cherish each other. Mark definitely had some happy tears to wipe away when he was able to turn around and see Stacey for the first time that day. Due to the weather, the first look took place inside, so we took advantage of the grand staircase that leads to the couples’ suites inside the barn. The whole space is brand new, still capturing the rustic feel but with all the modern-day amenities.

The ceremony took place at their timber frame pavilion in the adjacent field. White chairs were arranged in neat rows on the lush green lawn, and the pavilion adorned with flowers and greenery marked the spot where Stacey and Mark would exchange their vows. The guests arrived, their cheerful chatter and laughter adding to the festive atmosphere.

As Stacey walked down the aisle with her father, Mark beamed as he watched her approach. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of traditional and personal touches. The couple exchanged their vows, their voices steady and clear. Laughter was ever-present, and the moment was sealed with a kiss while guests erupted into happy cheers.

The reception held in the barn was as warm and inviting as the couple themselves. The rustic charm of the barn was enhanced with fairy lights, creating a soft glow that makes photographers swoon. Barns are definitely not the easiest place when it comes to lighting for photography, but when there is a certain ambiance, we make it work without too much harsh lighting. Long tables were set up with a delicious buffet from both of their heritages, and each table was marked with a local brewery that the couple had enjoyed throughout their relationship. Their favorite flavors of beer were represented from breweries such as Stellwagon, Winter Hill, Salvaticus and Two Roads.

Stacey and Mark’s first dance was a focal point—their love for each other evident in their shared laughter and constant communication. Once dinner was served and cleared, guests joined on the dance floor, the barn echoing with the sound of music and merriment, with expert DJ Joe Kaszuba of Fine Tune Entertainment at the mic.

As night fell, the barn was party central, illuminated with strung twinkle lights into the conclusion of the reception. Laughter was the theme of the night, and what Stacey and Mark put out into their loved ones every day.

ready to say hi?

While Bull Meadow was newly constructed to provide that rustic feel, Savannah has a 140 year old Jersey Cow farm called Red Gate Farms that offers two wedding venues, a pavilion and most importantly a grounded atmosphere right here in Southeast Georgia.
